Le Petit Bleu: quite possibly the best couscous in Paris!

Although I consistently decry the lack of good "ethnic" or non-French eating options here in France, I'll be the first to tell you that a notable exception can be found in the plethora of good restaurants representing the countries of North Africa, or the Maghreb as it is called. The former French colonies of Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia are well represented in France with large immigrant and descendant populations, and naturally the cuisines of those countries are among some of the best eating options here in Paris.

Kiwi-Pear Smoothie

As most of you know, we are currently in the midst of the craziness of an international move - from Paris and Bangkok. There is so much to do - packing, cleaning, doctor's visits, selling furniture - and it still seems endless! Blogging has sadly (though naturally I suppose) taken a backseat...but this doesn't mean that we haven't been eating well. I've been trying to clean out our fridge and freezer...as reflected in our meals as of late. This smoothie is the perfect example of this, as we had big baskets of pears and kiwis just waiting to be used up. Along with some toast and eggs, this makes the perfect healthy breakfast!
